Art Den Community Guidelines

Art Den was created to foster a supportive and engaging environment for artists and art enthusiasts to connect, share, and grow. These Community Guidelines exist to ensure that Art Den remains a safe, respectful, and inspiring space for everyone.
By participating in Art Den, you agree to follow these Community Guidelines. This is a living document and may evolve over time. The “Last Updated” date above will indicate the latest revisions.
These guidelines offer general principles for using Art Den and may not cover every scenario. Art Den reserves the right to remove content or take other actions at any time to maintain a positive community.
Community Guidelines
1. Respect Others’ Intellectual Property
Art Den is a platform to showcase your creativity. Only post work that you own or have permission to share. Do not upload or share art that infringes on others’ copyrights or intellectual property rights.

2. Post Relevant, Respectful, and High-Quality Content
Art Den values inclusivity and creativity. Refrain from posting content or engaging in behavior that is illegal, spammy, harmful, or abusive. Contributions should be relevant to the community and respectful to all members.
3. Protect Privacy
Keep personal information private. Avoid sharing anyone else’s personal data, including contact details, without their consent.
4. Credit and Attribution
Art is often inspired by others. When sharing work influenced by another creator, give appropriate credit. Follow these guidelines for sharing or remixing content:
- Free Resources: You may modify or remix free resources, but your adaptations should demonstrate meaningful changes.
- Paid Resources: Remixing or republishing paid resources without explicit permission is not allowed.

5. Use Art Den’s Branding Appropriately
You may reference Art Den in your creations, but follow these guidelines:
- Allowed: Mentioning Art Den in titles like “[Your Name]’s Art Den Profile.”
- Not Allowed: Using Art Den’s name or logo in your usernames, business names, domain names, or social media handles in a way that implies official affiliation.

6. Report Violations
Help us maintain the integrity of Art Den. If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it through our Contact Us page.

10. Zero Tolerance for Abuse
Art Den may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these guidelines or provide false reports. We aim to create a safe and constructive space for all members.

11. Compliance with Florida Law (effective January 1, 2025)
In accordance with Florida state law, minors under 14 years of age are not permitted to create or maintain accounts on Art Den. For minors aged 14 or 15, parental or guardian consent is required to create or maintain an account.
If an account is identified as belonging to a user under 14 years of age, or a 14- or 15-year-old without the required consent, the account will be terminated. Users or their guardians will have 90 days to dispute the termination before it becomes effective. Parents or guardians may also request termination of an account, which will be processed within the legally required timeframe.
Art Den will permanently delete personal information associated with terminated accounts, except where retention is required by law. These measures ensure compliance while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all members of our community.
Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy

Art Den is committed to respecting the rights of creators and intellectual property owners. This Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy explains our approach to protecting intellectual property on our platform and outlines your rights and responsibilities as a user.
By using Art Den, you agree to this policy. If you believe your rights have been violated, please follow the procedures outlined below.
1. Your Rights and Responsibilities
1.1 Ownership of Content:
You retain ownership of any content you create and upload to Art Den. By uploading content, you grant Art Den a license to display, distribute, and share your work as part of the platform’s normal functionality.
1.2 Posting Content:
Only upload content that you own or have explicit permission to use. This includes:
- Original artwork, designs, and creative works.
- Content licensed to you with rights for redistribution.
1.3 Granting Permissions:
If you allow others to use, remix, or share your work, specify the terms clearly in your content description or profile.
2. Protecting Intellectual Property

The following activities are prohibited on Art Den:

- Claiming ownership of someone else’s work.

2.2 Fair Use and Public Domain:
You may use content that falls under fair use or is in the public domain. Ensure compliance with applicable laws when determining whether content qualifies.
3. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe your copyright or intellectual property rights have been infringed upon, you may submit a takedown request by emailing support@artden.org with the following information:
- Your name and contact information.
- A description of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed.
- A link to or description of the infringing content.
- A statement confirming that you own the rights or are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your claim is accurate.
Upon receipt of a complete and valid request, Art Den will review the claim and take appropriate action, which may include removing the infringing content or disabling the associated account.
4. Counter-Notification Process
If your content was removed due to a copyright claim and you believe this removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification to [Insert Email Address] with the following information:
- Your name and contact information.
- A description of the content that was removed.
- A statement explaining why you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the content was removed in error.
- Consent to jurisdiction in your local federal court, or if outside the U.S., in the courts of the United States.
Art Den will review your counter-notification and may reinstate the content if the original claimant does not file a legal action within 14 days.
5. Repeat Infringers
Art Den has a zero-tolerance policy for repeat infringers. Accounts that repeatedly violate copyright or intellectual property rights may be suspended or permanently disabled.
