Art Den Community,
As many of you know, the rapid rise of AI technology has sparked a lot of discussion, particularly in the creative world. At Art Den, we are first and foremost a community built by and for artists—those who spend countless hours refining their craft, pushing creative boundaries, and bringing their unique vision to life.
I want to make our stance on AI-generated art clear: Art Den does not allow the use or promotion of generative AI for creating or selling artwork. We believe that creativity is an inherently human endeavor, built on skill, experience, and emotion—qualities that cannot be replicated by machine learning.
AI-generated art, as it currently exists, poses serious ethical concerns, particularly around the use of datasets containing unconsented works from artists. These practices undermine the rights of creators and threaten the core of what we stand for: respect for the artist and the creative process. At Art Den, your art belongs to you, and we will do everything in our power to protect that right.
Technology is ever-changing, and as artists and developers, we acknowledge that the tools artists use may evolve over time. As new technologies emerge, we will evaluate them carefully and, if needed, adapt our policies to better reflect their ethical implications and potential impact on the community.
In the future, should AI technology evolve in a way that addresses the current issues around consent and data privacy, we will revisit this discussion. Transparency is key, and any changes will be communicated openly to ensure our community remains informed and protected.
For now, we are here for the artists. We aren’t chasing trends that undermine the heart of creativity. We believe that the value of human-made art, in all its imperfection and beauty, is what makes this community special. AI may be advancing rapidly, but Art Den remains focused on fostering a space where your original ideas and hard-earned skills are celebrated.
Thank you for being a part of Art Den and for standing with us as we navigate this complex and evolving landscape.
If you have any questions or would like to share your thoughts, feel free to reach out—we’re always here to listen and engage with y'all.
