About Art Den
Art Den was born out of a love for community, creativity, and giving back. Our roots trace back to the days of the GASR (Graphic Arts Services and Requests) community on IMVU.com, where artists and enthusiasts gathered to share their work, connect, and support one another. When the platform decided to shut down GASR with little notice, a few of us took it upon ourselves to create a new home for the community.
Thus, the original offsite GASR forum was established—a place where art and philanthropy went hand in hand. During those early years, we ran fundraisers and auctions, raising thousands of dollars for causes like Toys for Tots. It was always about more than just art; it was about making a difference together.
As life moved on, I had to step back, and the forum evolved into what became known as Art Haven. However, over time, things took a turn, leading to a recent site closure announcement due to financial struggles and a loss of trust within the community.
Now, with more experience and a renewed commitment to our core values, Art Den is here to bring back that original spirit. We’re not just rebuilding a forum—we’re reigniting a community focused on creativity, transparency, and giving back. Art Den will operate as a nonprofit, ensuring that every decision we make is in the best interest of the community, not profit. We’ll be open about where funds go, how decisions are made, and how you can get involved.
Whether you’re here to share your art, connect with fellow creators, or contribute to meaningful causes, Art Den is your space.
